Une visite aux Temps Passés

Two things we are trying to do on this trip is to go slower than past trip and see new things and Les Pavillons de Bercy fit the second part of this thought. Located in an old wine warehouse in the 12th arrondissement it is home to the Musée des Arts Forains founded by Jean-Paul Favand, an actor and antique collector. He was denied a state-sponsored museum for this collection and decided to create a place where he could keep it together and fund it by renting the local out for special occasions. A collection of Belle-Epoque and forain (fair) antiques it is truly one of the most unique places we have visited. Better you can ride the carousels and play some of the games. The guides are (self-proclaimed) comedians this was an entertaining visit.  Recommended.

The Bicycle Carousel
Our guide gave the group a safety briefing before riding the carousel.
Trust me the Bicycle Carousel moved and would not be allowed in the United States.
